Frequently Asked Questions

Is there something that you have been wondering? It may have been asked before. We’re always happy to help.

It’s very simple. Simply select book, review available tutors, select your preferred one, then schedule a lesson on the online platform Zoom. Tutors use Google Drive or Office 365 to collaborate with students and share content. English, society and culture, and ESL tutoring is available.

This would depend on a few factors. A tutor would assess your past results, level of study and your future goals. If you are looking at improving your marks a little bit an hour per week can definitely help you see improvement at an ESL, Standard or Advanced Level. For some students in Advanced or Extension courses two or more hours coupled with homework and marking each week helps achieve results in the highest bands.

Save My HSC tutors come from all across Sydney, and include teachers, subject experts, university students and more. Each tutor provides details of their experience, qualifications and describes their teaching style on the booking page. Our tutors have a range of experience in English, society and culture, and ESL; tutoring many students at a variety of levels.

No worries! When you receive your lesson confirmation, it will include information on how to cancel or change the time of your lesson. Once booked, you can request a reschedule at any time with the tutor you’ve booked with (subject to the tutors availability), however if you wish to cancel a lesson you must do it with 24hrs notice otherwise you will incur a charge.

Cancelling a lesson is possible, however you must request it at least 24hrs in advance of the scheduled lesson time. If it is done within 24hrs of the lesson, you will still have to pay for the lesson, in fairness to the tutor. If you need to re-schedule, no worries! Just message your tutor beforehand and sort out a new time that suits both your schedules.

Technical issues can usually be solved by your tutor directly but if you need extra assistance outside of classroom time you can email info@savemyhs.com.au to help you with whatever technical issue you may have.

The content that is shared by your tutor on Google Drive or Microsoft One Drive will include all of the notes on specific texts or documentation that will help you with your studies.

All issues relating to refunds, disputes or chargebacks are managed by Save My HSC, not individual tutors. Requests for refunds must be made by emailing info@savemyhsc.com.au within 24hrs of the lesson taking place. Save My HSC will permit refunds if: (a) both the tutor and student consider the lesson unsatisfactory; (b) If there was a technical problem and alternative options were not suitable substitutes; and (c) if Save My HSC determines the session to be unsatisfactory.

When you book a lesson you’ll be required to provide a credit card or PayPal payment unless you include the FIRSTFREE coupon code for a complimentary first lesson. Before the lesson takes place, your nominated credit card or PayPal account will be charged, by Save My HSC, for the price of the lesson or the package of hours that you purchased prior to the lesson commencing.
